A show that tenderly takes us on a turbulent journey to the moments before our birth, in a slightly delirious representation of what we may have experienced inside our mother's womb. And after helping Baby the protagonist come into the world, we will all be born again with some cuddles and shakes. And it comes with a second birth certificate duly stamped by Caótica!

“Na Barriga” is a delicate theatrical poem, a visual ode to the birth of a baby. Sitting inside a “womb tent”, the audience (parents and children) watch the likely recreation of an intrauterine environment, circus-like and good-humoured, helping lost sperm, eating cookies and dealing with a thousand other surprises that only happen inside a mother’s belly, in order to be born a second time, squeezing through a tight exit sleeve. Unabashed, intelligent, simple and unpretentious: tremendously and subtly effective.
